The AI engineering platform for residential solar installers — design, code-check, simulate, and permit in one model.
Solar Scripto helps you conceive, draft, and document a residential solar design with the help of AI — turning hours of drafting into minutes.
It is a design aid, not a substitute for professional judgment. Every output is a preliminary draft for informational purposes. Depending on your state, local jurisdiction, and applicable federal law, a licensed electrician and/or Professional Engineer must review, correct, and sign or stamp the design before it is submitted, relied upon, or becomes a legal document.
Solar Scripto is a tool, not a permitting authority. Permits are issued only by your local jurisdiction (AHJ), which sets and collects its own permit fees. We charge no permit fee — not a single penny. Every fee here is for the software: conceiving your design, and the platform and AI costs behind it.
Always verify values against the codes in force at the site. Zappfin LLC makes no representation that unreviewed output complies with any code, is fit for construction, or will be approved by any authority.
Type the system in plain English. The AI builds a typed, editable one-line diagram — every node, port, and conductor placed for you.
Every element is a typed node with ports, specs, and conductor data. Edit anything; the schedules, labels, and permit sheets follow.
Twelve components with live ports, conductor kinds and NEC callouts — straight from the Studio, not an illustration. Conductor detail is softened here; it is sharp in the app.
Live NEC checks run as you draw. Found an error? One click and the AI resizes the string, rechecks, and shows its work.
Draft a design, then iterate by chatting — "add a critical-loads sub-panel", "make it a 400 A service", "swap to microinverters". No hunting through property panels.
Upload a PDF or even a screenshot of an existing one-line. The AI rebuilds it as a typed, editable design you can check, correct and permit.
Your customer gets a portal link: they upload the utility bill and roof photos, e-sign the agreement — and the project opens in your pipeline with the site data already attached.
The design becomes a proposal — system, production, ROI — and the customer signs right in the portal. The signed PDF is sealed and stored on the project.
Every project lives on one board: New → Design → Contract → Permit → Install → Verified. The whole crew sees where each job stands — no spreadsheets, no status calls.
Modules pack onto the actual roof plane — pitch, azimuth, and IFC 605 setbacks respected, so the site plan matches what gets built.
Eleven built-in simulations — monthly yield, tilt sweep, string mismatch, and per-obstruction shading loss, answered in dollars of energy per year.
Cover, site plan, structural, three-line, wiring, schedules, labels, compliance — generated from the same model. No redrawing.
A tamper-evident fingerprint and QR on every page. The inspector scans it and sees the property, the seal date, and that nothing changed.
